Hi Duke-Highland Parents!
After all that, I seem to have misplaced the e-mail list from the meeting last week. If you can forward this on to anyone not on my list and/or e-mail me [duke.highland(at)gmail.com] their contact info so I can update it, that would be great. I'll post a sign up sheet at the pool as well.
First, just a quick reminder that fees for the season/first month were due on Tuesday, Sept. 18. If you have no already given me a check or talked to me, please do ASAP. Also, if your swimmer is new to Duke, I need you to fill out a USA Swimming registration form right away (with a copy of their birth certificate). Returning swimmers will be filling out their paperwork at the beginning of October.
Second, we have a brief fund raising meeting this Wednesday, Sept. 26, at 6 pm to discuss details for a fund raising event. Participation in the fund raiser counts towards payment of the family fee, which is $50 per season/per family. Depending no how well the fund raiser goes, it could cover multiple seasons for those participating. If you are not planning to participate, the $50 family fund fee is due this Friday, Sept. 28.
Third, for those swimmers 11-and-up interested in going on the team retreat Oct. 5-8, the $75 fee is due to me by Friday, Sept. 28. I am still looking for chaperones (with large SUVs and trucks, if possible) so if you are interested, please let me know. This will be a really fun trip and a great way for our three pools to bond, so I'd really like to see some representation from Highland!
Fourth (and last), please glance at the Duke bulletin board from time to time. I try to keep everyone updated via e-mail, but sometimes I post things there as they come up and before I can get out an e-mail. It's just another way of being as in-the-know as possible as quickly as possible.
